Tracker not syncing after iOS updates.

Hi there:  Since I have updated my phone the last three times with the newest ISO updates, my fitbit will only sync after I  power it down completely and then reboot it.  The rest of the time, I switch on the blue tooth and although it says it is connected when I go to the app on my phone, it says it is not connected.   The only recourse is to power my phone off repeatedly during the day.  Any suggestions?

Hello @Cameronhall, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Please keep in mind that even if your Charge 2 appears as connected on your Bluetooth settings, it still needs to sync through the Fitbit app. If your tracker is having trouble syncing and as you have already restarted it and restarted your phone my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.

To set up your tracker as a new device:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  4. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Hi there: I tried what you said, but when I got as far as I agree to the terms-it did not do anything. I tried several times. I could not go further.

So now I have totally removed my Charge 2 tracker, and tried to put it back on with the app, however, I can't get past "I agree" again to terms of service and Privacy Policy. I opened both, but could not find a spot for confirmation so I just pressed "done" went back to I agree--still can't continue.---What to do now, as now I have no Charge 2 at all attached to the phone/app? Thanks

Enjoy your day,

I rebooted the phone and the tracker.  My Bluetooth on the phone keeps looking for the device-altogether I have pressed Charge 2 it keeps looking to attach to a Blackberry.  Synching on Fitbit app-now seems to be syncing, however the phone keeps looking for the device??

Rebooted both phone and watch and finally reattached Charge 2 device.  Will see tomorrow if it is back to normal.

Hi there:  Unfortunately, I tried rebooting my watch, and my phone repeatedly over the last few days.  I have unpaired and re-paired my watch to my I-phone also repeatedly, which only seems to last for a few hours.   I have finally discovered that if I never close my Bluetooth once my watch finally reads it is connected, then I can keep the connection and sync my watch.  Inadvertently, I have switched off the Bluetooth for just a few seconds a few times, and have not lost the pairing.  What I am doing is closing my Wi-Fi but leaving the Bluetooth on.  Seems to be working so far, with no additional energy being used by my phone to keep the connection open.  Hopefully, I am not using any data doing this (which I don't think I am, as I have my cell data switched off.)  Who knows how long this will last?  I'll keep you in the loop, if my situation changes.  Thanks Cameron
