Since I have to delete/reinstall the Fitbit app nearly every day, I notice that it has now slipped to 7th place (presumably in fitness apps) from the 4th place it was in when I was still using iOS 10. I guess that is not sufficient motivation for the fix to be prioritised but I would have thought it shoud be.

I didnt have sync problems with ios 11 until this latest update of the Fitbit app itself, 2.44. Charge2 hasnt done the sync ever since that so I came here to search for resolution.

- iphone se

- ios 11.1.2

- fitbit app 2.44

Edit. Logout, forgetting the bt device and reinstalling the app did the trick. Though I must say that I'm quite disappointed in Fitbit starting tonshow their ads in the screen.

I think the problem lies with Apple. They recently changed the software not to recognize third party device (charger cables etc).

Thus each time there is an upgrade either side we have to delete and reinstall on the apple device.

In my case I use an iPhone and since having to also change it has worked fine, even with a new IOS upgrade (touch wood).

But I agree Apple do not advise users of these things leaving others to clean up the mess. But now that we are aware we just have to do head bashing.

What Fitbit should do is beta their devices before it hits the market and it is clear they did not do thisSmiley Frustrated

another issue that has resurfaced is that if you have more than one device syncing it will also not sync.  After jumping through hoops reinstalling etc finally getting it to work, i also had to uninstall fitbit from my ipad and only have it on my phone,,,,

So for me turning off all day sync and uninstalling it everywhere but only one device was my fix

What a bunch of    B   S,,, why do we have to do their work for them ?

they( fitbit)  cant even be bothered to figure out the fix

@johnas9000

I think the problem might be if you have notifications (calender, sms etc) on it only allows one device to device connection Smiley Sad so that if you have multiple devices within range it can / will not sync to all simultaneously.

Hope it helps  Smiley Happy

Thanks for your help. My problem was sorted as soon as I relogged into the app so I did not have to add the device again.

Any suggestions if the Fitbit tracker doesn’t show up for selection on the Bluetooth devices? I am currently using a Fitbit Blaze.

Hi there,

I’ve read all these messages and seem to have the same problem. I have a fitbit one which stopped syncing yesterday. I’ve followed all the advice on here and now can’t even get my iphone to recognise the device which I’ve uninstalled but can not re-install. I’m pretty sure mine is an iphone 6s. Ios 11.2.5. Fitbit app 2.44.2. Having used this with no problems for a year, I now have a very expensive pedometer.

When you say you uninstalled did you do this on iPhone ? You must

  1. Uninstall / delete Bluetooth connection on iPhone
  2. Uninstall App on iPhone
  3. Shut down and restart iPhone
  4. Reinstall App on iPhone
  5. Reconnect Bluetooth on IPhone
  6. Hope for the best if not connected try Shutdown and restart iPhone only again.

The problem seems to lie with apple in that the latest OS's try not to link to any third party cables/devices and you need to get the iphone to forget the previous Fitbit install and start afresh. Man Frustrated

Hope this helps and you get more than a pedometer Smiley Wink

i dont know why but it has resolved,  maybe the apple updates did it ? maybe all of the uninstalling and resinstalling  ( you never lose history)  Its the same as if you had bought a new device,, your account stores your history
