Fitbit app has been syncing very slowly for the past couple of weeks and app data indicates that is is also draining my phone battery. I have background app refresh and all day sync off but it still shows significantly more background activity as on screen. (1.3 hours on screen and 6 hours background over the past 7 days)

Hello @Kaecera, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
If your tracker and the app on your phone are taking a long time to sync please try the following:
- Restart your tracker
- Restart your phone
- Turn off Bluetooth on your phone for 15 seconds, then turn it back on. (Try this from the phone Settings and not from the Control Center)
If it's still taking a long time to sync, let's try to add your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between the tracker and your phone/mobile device. Don't worry, none of the information already stored in your account will be deleted.
To set up your tracker as a new device:
- Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
- Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
- Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
- When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
Finally, I would like to suggest checking @AlvaroFitbit's excellent tips and recommendations to improve the battery life on your Fitbit tracker.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.
