Hi, a group of friends and I are trying to add each other on the app. However whenever we attempt to, nobody receives a request. We all added each other through email and through contact but nothing appears in our notifications dashboard. This is upsetting as we are trying to join a group I made. Has anyone had a similar issue or know the fix?

Welcome! It's great to see you around @ch26co.
Thanks for the details shared on your post. Please confirm if you're doing the following to add friends from the Fitbit app:
- Tap the Today tab and tap your profile picture.
- Tap your name > View All Friends > Add Friends.
- Choose a method to find friends, then tap the Add Friend icon next to the name or email address of the person you want to add.
If the issue persist, I recommend trying the following:
- Log out from the Fitbit app
- Clear the app cache
- Restart your phone
- Log back in and add friends
Hope this helps.

Cindy I’ve been unable to add others from my phone contact list to Fitbit and am wondering if it’s due to them using android phones whereas I’m using an iPhone. Ever one I want to add that seems to be the common denominator as to why 😯

Hi @kkjaer. It's nice to see new faces around!
I appreciate the details shared on your post about the difficulties that you are having to add friends. Please note that there has nothing to do if you're on iPhone and they on Android phone.
So please confirm if you have tried the instructions provided above. If you're still having trouble adding your friends, please see: How do I connect with friends on Fitbit?
See you around.

Cindy I've tried everything - including logging out and logging back in to Fitbit. Under contacts in the "find friends" it shows only 3 contacts that have fitbit; tried to add them even via username and says "username not found" when I input their name so I am not sure what else to do. One person I wanted to add in particular will one day be my daughter-in-law (I believe:) I'm wondering if it's in her settings. Thank you for responding back. Have a blessed day.

Hi, yes I tried the following steps. It appears to be a server side issue because even if we add through the web browser nobody is receiving invites. It appears as if it was sent but no one receives.

Thanks for your responses and for all your efforts to get this inconvenience resolved.
@kkjaer Could you please confirm if you have tried to send the invite using her email address instead of name or user name?
@kkjaer Thanks for providing more details about this, I'd suggest to both of you, try one more step:
- On the Fitbit app tap the Today tab
- Tap notifications and check that "Friend Requests" is enabled on notifications and emails. If it is, disable it and force-quit the app again.
- Open the app, go back to Account > Notifications and enable "Friend Requests" again.
See you around.
