I have an iphone 7, most updated version, calls come in, no texts or calander alerts. I just got the watch yesterday and I am super excited about it, However, I will take this back and just go without if I am going to pay for something that does not have the capabilities it claims to have. For fitbit to advertise this and so many people have a problem with it after all the troubleshooting is a bit absurd.

Hello @FB_Lady, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for having tried to troubleshoot this situation. Would it be possible for you to let me know which troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? Have you restarted your phone and your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen already? This information will be very helpful for us to check this further and determine what we should do next.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

I’m in the same boat but as it was a Christmas Present it is outside of the return period and as it was not bought from FitBit direct they do not care so I’m stuck with a watch that does not work and no customer service.

I appreciate you have let us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Versa > Notifications and disable "Text Notifications", then go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Messages and make sure the following is enabled:
After that, restart your phone and go back to the Fitbit app > Account > Versa > Notifications and enable Text Notifications again.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.
