When I try to log in to the fit bit app, I am only able to enter part of my email and the app freezes and won't let me enter more data. I have tried closing the app, restarting the phone, restarting the app. Same problem.

I am having the same issue. I will reinstall but will am concerned about loss of data. Have had my fitbit for 3 or 4 years now and never had issues with the app.
