Like many others I am unable to make the migration to Google. Following directions on IPhone, I receive the error message that my email is used with a different Fitbit device. My current device Versa 3 account is tied to an Outlook (hotmail) email. I am not inclined to establish yet another GMail address just to accomplish this migration. This issue does not appear to be a one off.
I have this same issue and just chatted with Fitbit and Google Support for 2.5 hours. I got no where. They were still asking for my email address 2 hours in. Best advice they said was delete and reinstall app. Already did that! I have 25 million steps I will lose and a new inspire 3 that will be a paperweight if I can’t complete the migration. What a crap experience.
all I ask is to make it possible to select inspire 3 from my Google account rather than Ace Kids! Fitbit is the Sonos of wearables.
I'm pretty sure we are not the only two users experiencing this issue, and I've seen nothing that would lead me to believe that Google has done anything to resolve our issue. Unlike you, I don't have another fitbit device that I can find tied to my google account. In the meantime, the countdown continues. We will soon find out if our devices and associated data goes dark.
