Unable to receive notifications with iOS 13 beta

My fitbit charge 3 stopped getting calls and any WhatsApp messages Sunday or early Monday. I only got calendar reminders. I have tried all the online suggestions and nothing works. 😠

Please give me instructions on how to get my Charge 3 vibrating when I have a call and when receiving a text message. Thanks.

I'm not sure what it all is that was tired @SunsetRunner

One possibility is to check the Charge 3 to see if notifications are turned on. Hold in the button to get to the menu.

Otherwise the problem would be in the phone sending the notifications, but as mentioned above, Fitbit will not be supporting a beta version so I would check the standard stuff.

Thanks for your speedy reply @Rich_Laue . All settings for notifications on my Charge 3 and iPhone are ON. I have turned everything iff, back on, deleted the App and reinstalled, deleted my Charge 3 as a device and set it up again. Not sure what else I can possibly do but keep my fingers crossed.

The one setting that some iOS users have missed is to allow the Fitbit access to the notification center.

The reason I moved the thread to the iOS board is simply because I'm hoping an iOS user will step up, since I am unsure of how to turn on an iOS device.

@Rich_Laue I have allowed fitbit access  on my iPhone. In the fitbit app it keeps turning off All-Day sync, and when I click on Notifications within the app, the wheel spins non-stop.

As mentioned above, I no next to nothing about iOS, but I do know that Fitbit would still be in testing the iOS beta 10 and usually does not release a version that will be approved to work while an OS is still in beta.

Two things: 1) why are you responding to my comment if you know nothing about iOS? Isn’t there a fitbit moderator who can reply to my comment?

2) I never mentioned anything about a beta version!?! Why do you keep pointing that out to me?!?!?

Because the title of the thread specifically states that this thread is about notification issues after installing the iOS 13 beta. Therefore I can only assume that you are running the iOS 13 beta since this thread would not apply to you if you have not updated to iOS 13 beta. I had not realized the thread has been hijacked.

If you are not, then we are in the wrong thread.

Why am I responding? You mentioned and flagged me.

Is there a moderator that could respond, maybe, they would first need to be made aware of this thread. but that is not their main job. This is a comunity setup for the community of Fitbit users to help out each other.

If you would like I can move the posts into its own thread, you then may want to correct the title.

My apologies. Thanks and good bye.

P.S. @Rich_Laue - after umpteen tries, I was finally able to click 'Forget this device' in the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone, open the fitbit app, after it synced with my Charge 3, then i could open Notifications and click √ to all the messages, phone calls and calendar reminders. {Before it only spun around and around and ...} Anyway, thank you for your patience. Somehow your keeping in touch gave me the incentive to keep trying. So, thanks!

I’ve literally tried everything at least 3 times and my Fitbit still will not receive notifications. It’s a Versa and I’m running iOS 13. Any other suggestions?!?!

They are aware of the texting issue. It is happening to all. They are fixing it now. When it is fixed the texts will just start coming through.

I was just on the phone with them too regarding the same issue on my versa. And I was told they are aware of the issue and will push an update to try to fix it...LOL.  Fingers crossed that either we just start getting our texts again or they push an update SOON. 🙂
