Unable to save custom food

I have Fitbit 2 and the app in iPhone 5S.

When I try to add custom food, I fill all the nutriotional info but I can’t save. The button save doesn’t work so I can’t add custom food. How can I solve this?

Hi Everyone -

We've aware of an issue when entering a custom food, total calories are dictated by whatever the number is for "Calories from fat". If you have 0 calories from fat, you will see 0 Calories.

We’re currently working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

Hello @Saimiri, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, are you seeing the SAVE button grayed out when you tap on it? Have you tried to restart your phone lately? If so, I would like to ask you to force-quit your app by double tapping the home button on your phone, then swipe up the app. Open the app again and try to log a new custom food.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome. Smiley Wink

I tried all suggested and I still cannot add a custom food completely. I can add the food but it does not let me add the calories. It lets me pu tin the calories but after I save it comes up zero. Any suggestions?

I chatted on line with a fitbit rep and she told me this is a problem and they are working on a fix. I find this pretty amazing since in the posts I read from 2018 it still is not fixed in 2020. She said she could not give me a date when a fix will be pushed out.

If I had known this was such a serious flaw I would have purchased something else. Sorry I can’t be more help. For now I am just looking for the calorie count in a generic food category instead of entering the custom food.

I am having the exact same problem. It was letting me enter custom food but now all of a sudden it is not! This is extremely frustrating!!!

And I just had this start happening a few days ago. Only shows "Calories from fat". Very frustrating!
