Since the last update I can no longer see the breakdown of a night sleep on my iPhone X. I can see it on an iPad but the iPhone is my main device. How do I get this view back

Hello @SunsetRunner, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Please note that if you're able to see Sleep Stages and the breakdown of your sleep time in the Fitbit app on your iPad, that means the information has been uploaded to our servers correctly. Now, if the information is not showing in the app in your phone, it's possible the app in the phone is not updating the information correctly, which means it will not be displayed correctly. At this moment, I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Force quit the app, then open it again. If this doesn't seem to work:
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.

I have the same issue as above since the last update.  On two nights my iOS app shows no sleep info at all - just blank.  But the heart rate field displays normal activity all night.  And on two other nights it has shown the Simplified Sleep Details.  This is all since the latest update, and not at all normal.  I occaisionally get the Simplified Sleep details, but not often,  It has never shown Zero sleep activity.

The "solution" has not remedied the situation.

Hi MaryVe,
The second route offered as a solution worked for me and all visibility has been restored. Close the app by logging out the shut down the iPhone. Restart the iPhone after a few minutes then open the app and log in

Unfortunately, this solution has not worked for me.
I've added a hard reset to the mix.

Hello @SunsetRunner, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. It's nice to see you too @MaryVE, thanks for joining the conversation. Smiley Happy

@SunsetRunner, I appreciate you have come back and let us know the troubleshooting steps provided were helpful for you, I'm very glad.

@MaryVE, tell me, are you able to see your sleep logs in the Sleep Section of the online Dashboard? If so and you're only able to see simplified Sleep instead of Sleep Stages, please take in consideration that the Fitbit app currently has in-app error notifications that provide an explanation for why you aren't receiving Sleep Stages on any given night. This is meant to provide insight into what might be occurring to cause this. The error messages are the following:

  1. We need more than 3 hours of sleep to reliably calculate your sleep stages. Learn more
  2. Your tracker couldn't get a consistent heart rate reading while you slept. Learn more
  3. We couldn’t generate sleep stages for this sleep. Please try again tomorrow. Learn more

When you tap on Learn more, you will be able to get more information about why your tracker didn't record sleep stages. Additionally, I'd like to suggest the following:

  • For any of the nights you were expecting to see Sleep Stages, did you ever click on the "Begin Sleep Now" or "Add Sleep Log" functions within the Fitbit App?
    • This is important to note because your tracker uses auto-detection to track Sleep Stages; so there's no need to try and remember to click on anything before falling asleep!
  • Do you have at least 3 consecutive hours of sleep?
    • This is important to note because you typically won't see sleep stages if you are waking up multiple times through out the night or taking short naps.
  • Your tracker's battery isn't at a critically low level prior to falling asleep.
  • Your device is tracking and syncing heart rate data.
    • This is important because Sleep Stages uses a combination of your movement and heart-rate patterns.
  • Your Fitbit App is updated to the latest version.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

Alright, this just happened again.  My sleep log in the app showed no sleep at all.  I have computer access today and checked my online dashboard.  No sleep showing there either.  I sync'd a couple times and still nothing appeared.  There were no in-app notifications showing a reason.
So I made a manual entry through the app with the approx. time I went to bed and when my alarm goes off.  Sleep log (and not the simplified one) appeared then.

did all that and it Did not work, and i do not get a sleep score either.  Up graded to charge 4, and same old problem.  Get a simplified graph of awake, restless, sleep, but not the levels like rem light sleep etc. and no sleep score.  The iOS fitbit app 3.44 must not work on the iPhone X running iOS 14.6.

I have the watch just tight enough to touch the skin at all times. Any other suggestion?  My friends Android works just fine.
