Unable to set up Alta on iPhone 6.

Alta HR v. 26.40.3 is not syncing with iPhone 6 OS 11.3.1.

Cannot setup as a new device. Not being found on phones Bluetooth. Tried all troubleshooting steps and noting is working. Phone is finding other devices but not Alta. Will not update software to Alta from app on Windows 10 because the app will not download. Is it supposed to be this difficult?

Hello @Cfd81, I hope you're having a great day, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and for letting me know you have already tried troubleshooting steps. Please note that your Alta will not pair nor sync directly through the Bluetooth settings on your phone, but through the Fitbit app. If you're not able to see your Alta in the list of paired devices or devices available is because the tracker will need to be set up first. At this moment I would like to suggest you try to set up your tracker once again to follow these steps in order:

  1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Make sure you have a strong WiFi signal and that there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere with the setup process.
  3. Restart your Alta, then try to set up again.
  4. If you can't set up after a restart, reboot your phone or tablet and try to set up again.
  5. If you can't set up after the reboot, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet and try to set up the tracker one more time.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.
