I received the fitbit alta HR and it won't sync with my iphone. I find it very frustrating and am about to return it to the store as it is of no use if it won't sync with my phone. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have tried many of these tips and it still won't sync. I will not do all of them as this is supposed to be simple. Will return it to the store as it was purchased because it is supposed to be easy.

@llobrienif you get with customer support, they can walk you through this..
Give a call to customer support's phone (877)623-4997 between the hours of 4am-8pm PST Mon-Fri, and 6am-5pm PST on weekends, if you're in the USA.
If you're not in the USA, then click for contact options
They might be able to get you going. Sometimes it's easier when you have someone helping you.

It was my error, I entered the wrong fitbit and that is why it didn't sync. Sorry for the rant!
