I kept getting a message on my Versa that I needed to “always allow” location services (and the weather app wasn’t working) but there was no way to turn it on under the iPhone settings. The Fitbit app was not listed under privacy, location services. I tried restarting the app, restarting the phone, and reinstalling the app, none of which worked. I called Fitbit support and they could not help. After returning the Versa and getting a new one I encountered the issue again - this time after I had restored my iPhone to default settings for other reasons. Turns out the way to resolve this is to remove your device from the Fitbit app and then re-add! TL;DR: remove device from app and add it back in again if you are having problems with location services.
