Unable to unlock Versa with my phone.

My versa blocked up after incorrect pin have been trying to unblock it with no success. It just says failed authentication. The watch says unlock with phone but it’s not working. Any ideas?

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with your Versa with us. I would also like to thank you for having tried to unlock it already. You've mentioned the process is not working, however I would like to suggest you to try the following steps in order to unlock your device with your phone:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon then on the Versa.
  2. Tap Device Lock.
  3. Find the option to reset your PIN code. 

Note that after you reset your PIN code, you must add your cards to Fitbit Pay as if you were setting it up for the first time

I have tried this and still get errors.

First change pin failed then an unexpected error try again later.

can anyone help??

I appreciate you have joined us and reported this situation. At this moment, if you haven't done it yet, please update the Fitbit app on your phone. If you're still getting the same error, please try the following:

 

  • Force-quit the app.
  • Log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

Then, try to unlock your watch from the app again. Give this a try and let us know the outcome!

I have tried that with no success.
I found another reply to go onto my account through a browser and then deactivate the card payment. I tried this and it has allowed me to go back through app to unblock.

There needs to be an easier fix as there are a lot of people who have had the same problem so it seems.

I have the similar problem . I brought new phone and trying to pair my Versa2 to it .. since it was not working i tried to remove the device n add it back .. now it says unlock the device and I am stuck ... because I have already removed the device from my profile.. can some one please help

Same issue here! Can't see the 4 digit code to sync my device since there's the "Unlock your phone" on the screen
