I wasn’t really sure where to post this.
Anyway I have a Charge 3. I recently got an Inspire one as well mostly for use at work. Now I know you can only have one on your account at a time, I was just wondering if taking them on and off would cause any issues or if it’s better to stick to one?

It's okay to switch, but make sure to sync the tracker you have been wearing just before switching it out.
I've found the hours with 250+ steps can look off on phone app after switch, but they are correct on Fitbit database and do combine correctly in historic data after the day is over.

Hello @MeganDooks I hope you're doing well. It's nice to see you too @JohnnyRow thanks for your insight about this situation.
@MeganDooks I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your question. Adding to what @JohnnyRow mentioned, note that you can't have Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series connected to the same account. If you have any combination of these devices, be sure to have only one connected to your account at a time.
I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I'm not sure how this is marked as 'solved'. I've owned an Ultra, still own a One. I remember when the service couldn't support anything other than a single FitBit. That was fixed. As recently as a few months ago, my account supported my aging One (which the Inspire was meant to replace), a Charge 2 and a Charge 3. So, I don't understand why you either can't support Inspire too or didn't bother to put some warning on the package that they're mutually exclusive with other products. Don't misunderstand me, I'm still an avid fan. It just seems like you guys are too often your own worst enemy.
Is this going to be fixed at some point, or did I misspend on the Inspire?

Hello @Saglibom thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community.
Thank you for your feedback. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. Note that if a post has been marked as a "solution", that's because other member of the Community has found that specific post useful and considered it a proper answer for their question.
Now, when it comes to having 2 devices at the same time, as mentioned earlier, at this moment you can't have Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series connected to the same account. However, if anything changes in the future, we'll make sure to post it here in the official Forums, so please keep an eye on them.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

I too want both the Charge 3 and Inspire on the same account. I hope Fitbit is working on a solution as it used to work with my One and Charge 3. I lost my One and got an Inspire to replace it. Along with the clip. I like this as I don’t always want something on my wrist and Mobile Tracker doesn’t work if you don’t want to drag your phone with you too!

I am hard pressed to understand why you can’t have these devices on the same account at the same time. And the vague responses have me questioning if there is a reason that you aren’t forthcoming with details.
What exactly is preventing this?

This is so frustrating to find out after I bought a second device...to wear the inspire under clothing when I'm at work, and the Charge 3 for sleep and exercise. I used to be able to have my (now defunct) One and my Charge together, so I had NO clue that they wouldn't be compatible, and I've already tossed all the packaging.
I would actually be sort of ok with having to add them separately when I want to use them IF it would save the data for the day. I just switched from the inspire to the Charge 3 and nope, didn't save any of the steps for the day, despite the fact that I synced it before I added the Charge 3 back.
Is there any workaround at all for this? I can't even add the steps manually, can I?

@crystallyn I had the same problem, please post if they respond to you about the cumulative data syncing.. i had a Charge 3 for everything, but bought the inspire to wear when playing team sports under my clothes as its smaller. Just spend all this money to find out cant have them both .. wish i knew that before, I would have bought an older version that is compatible.. ugh

@Salex9 I don't know where you are located. A third party company makes a silicone clip just for the Charge 3/4. Here it is on Amazon. I hope the link works, because the URL is several hundred characters long.
I don't know how well it will work counting your steps. Fitbit users pushing carts or holding treadmill handrails usually don't get steps. But I have taken several different wrist models and attached them to my torso. I feel like the step counting is very reasonable and better than no device at all.
I hope you can return your Inspire. Switching devices is a chore.
