This is an issue since I updated to version 70.7.21. When I open the exercise app on my versa 2 and choose run it shows “connecting” but will not connect. After still doing my run I have a couple of questions.
1. It shows my run in the exercise section of the Fitbit app on my iPhone, but doesn’t map my run like it used to. Is this because it didn’t connect to my phones gps during the run?
2. It didn’t upload my run to Strava, is this because my versa 2 didn’t “connect” during the run?
please help, thanks!
some info:
iPhone XS Max iOS 13.3
fitbit versa 2 versión 70.7.21.

@MadAndronicus Do you have the Fitbit app set to "Always" in the Location Services of your iPhone Settings? It doesn't seem to be a Versa firmware issue. I noticed this when I upgraded to iOS 13 -- since the iOS upgrade, my Versa 2 will connect only if the setting is set to Always. If I try to start a GPS connected exercise with it set to While Using the App, I get a notice on my phone screen to set it to Always.

I’m having the same issue and I do have the location services set to always. It would be nice if someone could answer this question.

I changed my location services from “always “ to “while using” and then:
opened fitbit app
turned on a run on my watch
phone asked for location settings
opened settings on phone and switched to always
it connected! Let’s hope that’s a fix!
