Versa 3 won't receive notifications

Just purchases the Versa 3.

Not able to receive text, download the app for google calendar to get reminders and its not reading the device.

 

My versa is up to date..

Do i need to return because there’s a manufacturer issue?

Thanks for the details provided and confirming that your Versa 3 is updated. I understand how you're feeling about this situation and to work on this together, could you check if the Sleep Mode or DND are turned off? When one of these settings is turned on, your watch won't turn on or vibrate when receiving any type of alert such as notifications or reminders to move. To check this, I'd recommend this help article.

 

If the issue persists after doing this, please give a try to the troubleshooting tips described here. Take in mind that for iOS devices, it's required to have Show Previews set to Always or When Unlocked, as well as have the Notification Center under Alerts turned On.

 

About your other question, make sure to have your phone within 30 feet of your watch, and to leave the Fitbit app running in the background. Please note the Google Assistant app must remain running in the background on your phone when using an iOS device.
