Versa Lite disconnects when trying to update

I just got this Fitbit versa lite from a friend not to long ago and when I try to update it my Bluetooth keeps disconnecting every time I try to update the watch

I've moved your post to this thread as there are more chances to get related replies here. Thanks for letting me know that you have a Versa Lite and for trying to update the firmware. Just to confirm, do you have other Bluetooth devices nearby? Aside from getting your watch disconnected, did you receive an error message on the Fitbit app?

 

If you've not done so, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Forget your Versa Lite from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections nearby to prevent any interference.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Restart your watch and plug it into the charging cradle.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  6. Select your Versa Lite, tap Replace Device and follow the on-screen instructions.
