I have a macOS (latest version) iPad and latest version of VersaLite. My watch has continually lost time in the past week. Also battery not holding charge for 24 hours. I have spent more hours syncing and re-syncing and completely doing new updates that I am ready to put this watch in the trash. Wish I had purchased an Apple Watch. Jeez.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @AppleWatchNow.
Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling and recommend confirming that your Fitbit device is updated to the latest version as updates come with new features and bug fixes: How do I update my Fitbit device? Please also make sure you have turned on "Set automatically" for date and time on your iPad: open your iPad's settings > tap General > tap Date & Time > and then toggle "Set Automatically" on.
To maximize your Fitbit device's battery life, see the tips in Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
Hope this helps!
