Versa Lite won’t update

Hi, I’ve had my Versa lite over 2 months and haven’t been able to get it to update, and before I can do anything with it I need to update it so right now it is useless. I was wondering if I could get help or do I have to send it back to amazon. It gets halfway through the update then says i need to download the Fitbit app which is already downloaded.

Thanks for sharing that you have a Versa Lite and for your efforts while trying to complete the firmware update. I'm sorry that you're having this experience. Usually the message to download the app comes up when your watch isn't set up or syncing correctly. That being said and to work on this together, I'd recommend to reconnect your watch to your account by doing the following:

 

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings in your phone and forget your Versa Lite from the list.
  2. Check if the Fitbit app is updated.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Restart your Versa Lite to refresh its performance.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  6. Choose your Versa Lite and the option to replace.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions and continue with the update when prompted.
