Before the latest update, I was able to get email notification and have the Versa sync, giving the ability to keep track of weather and send data to my phone, without having my Fitbit app open on my phone. Now, it’s it syncing again. Can this be fixed?

Hello @mochajones10, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment I would like to suggest you to enable All-day Sync in the Fitbit app so your Versa can sync without having the app open or running on the background. To enable All-day Sync go to the Fitbit app and tap on Account > Versa > All-day Sync to enable it. If it's already enabled, let's restart it by going to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. After that, go to the Fitbit app and enable All-day Sync again.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I have tried all of these things already, and the issue persist. It’s seems that the Apple based apps, such as Mail and Messaging, are not be sent to the Versa.
UPDATE:
Your suggestion actually made everything worse. I’m now not receiving any notifications and syncing happens only when the app is the active app.
UPDATE 2:
I resolved to the majority of the notification issues by restarting the Versa, however, the Apple Mail app will not send notifications still. The option for it is still selected. Also, All Day Sync still does work if the Fitbit app isn’t the active app.

Hello @mochajones10, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
I appreciate you have come back and let us know you were able to resolve the majority of Notification issues on your Versa. If you're still having trouble with the default mail app on your phone, please go to your phone Settings > Mail > Notifications and turn off "Allow Notifications", then restart your phone go back and enable "Allow Notifications". After that, check if the Mail app shows up under the Fitbit app > Account > Versa > Notifications > App Notifications and enable it.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

I have done that and it doesn’t work. And there is still the issue of all day sync not working with the app not active.

Was there ever a solution? It seems that after the last update I received I started having these problems. My Versa no longer syncs unless the app is open and I often have to do that manually. Also, the information for sleep, etc, isn't updated until I tap on that. It used to show it when opened and synced. It will now show it after I tap on the sleep section but disappear after I go out. I've attempted to restart a couple of times (both my phone and my Versa). The app doesn't seem to have the option (that was suggested) to sync all day (if it's still there, I can't find it).
