Versa won't connect to correct account

I went to check my Fitbit app earlier today and realized I had been logged out, when I logged back in, my Versa was not paired. The app was trying to connect with an old device that I haven’t used in years. Now the my Versa is paired again, all of my history is gone. I don’t have any other email addresses, so I don’t think it is an issue of logging in with the wrong account. Any idea why this is happening?

Try looking at the fitbit.com dashboard to see if your history shows there.  If so, click the gear icon near top right, then 'Settings' from the drop-down menu.  That will show the email address that goes with that data.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I fixed that issue! It turns out I did have a different email address. Now that I am logged into the correct account, my Versa isn’t paired. I’m trying to pair it, but I keep getting a message saying something went wrong.

Did you add your Versa as a device to the other account?  I doubt you can have it connected to multiple accounts.

I deleted it from the other account, but it still won’t pair.

Hi @MDeLacey. Welcome to the Community Forums. @JohnnyRow, it's great to see you here and thanks for your help.

@MDeLacey, I'm glad that you were able to find your historic data and let me help you to set up your Versa in to the correct account. Before anything else, please make sure that the Fitbit app is updated in your phone. Once that is done, give a try to the following:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings and forget the Versa from the list.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth in your phone and any other devices nearby.
  3. Restart your Versa.
  4. Turn back on the Bluetooth only in your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  6. Choose the Versa and follow the onscreen instructions. When prompted, accept the request to pair your watch via Bluetooth.

Keep me posted with the outcome.
