Versa won’t stay connected to GPS

I updated my iPhone 8 to IOS 13.4.1 and now my Versa will not stay connected to be able to use the GPS function.  It will not connect unless open the Fitbit app, and after connecting, it will not stay connected unless I keep the Fitbit app open on my phone.  About 15-20 seconds after I close out of the app, it will say “connecting....”, and will not function.  It has never done this before.

The same exact thing has happened to me since I’ve downloaded the iOS update. I essentially can no longer track any of my runs unless I leave the app open and my phone unlocked.
