Volume increases on its own!

These last couple of weeks while doing overhead presses at the gym and listening to the radio, the volume goes up, up, up when I hold the weights over my head! This had not ever happened before. Anybody else have anything similar happen? I suspect this has something to do with a recent software update. Also, the exercise tracker is pausing on its own....this is also new within the past couple of weeks.

Hello @Ghynd, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Which tracker are you currently using? Does your tracker have Music Control? If so, please remember that if you're using Music Control, the volume is only controlled by the buttons, so it's possible that the buttons on your tracker are being accidentally pressed when you lift your arms over your head. To prevent this, place your tracker on a higher position in your arm and check if you experience this issue again.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

It is the blaze. I find it hard to believe that I am actually contacting the button physically, but I will pay closer attention next time to see if that is what is happening.

I paid closer attention this last workout and discovered to my surprise that my new gloves have an elevated tensioning strap that is contacting the volume control button when the weights are held over my head. You were correct. Thanks for your help.
