Watching connection issues

After almost 4 months of having my Fitbit Versa 2 with no issues, it now constantly is searching to connect when I select an exercise on my watch. The only time it stays connected is if I have the Fitbit app open on my phone (iPhone 8plus) The minute I lock my phone or open another app is disconnects and only ends up calculating the time and heart rate of my exercise. I have tired every thing possible (updates, restarting my phone and Fitbit, unpairing and repairing the devices, etc.) and nothing seems to be helping the issue.

Anyone else encounter this issue?

@SunsetRunner -

Unfortunately, this has been an on-again off-again issue with the assisted GPS communication between my Versa 2 and my iOS app as well as other posters' devices. I experienced it with release 3.24 of the iOS app and it was corrected at release 3.25 - at least for me and a few others reported the same.

I am currently at 3.27 (3.28 is available, as of yesterday in the app store), but have not taken an assisted GPS walk since updating to that release, having focused on two-a-day treadmill sessions.

Good luck, and welcome to the boards.
