I was considering upgrading my Charge 4 to the Charge 5, until I read an article about how Fitbit devices could convert their software to the “Wear OS”. If this is true it would render Fitbit devices worthless to iPhone users? Has anyone else heard this? What are your thoughts?

@Jfeen82 Nice to see you around. Thank you for your message. I get were your doubts come from. At this time there are no plans to implement Wear OS on any of our devices.
Our Smartwatches do use our own firmware.
In case, there should be such a big change, be asure, that iOS users will be taken into consideration as they also are a big part of the Fitbit family.

Best Answer@Giampi71 You and I aren't the only ones who saw your linked MacWorld article. It stirred up interest at androidcentral, too. @Jfeen82 I don't think Charge series users need to worry. From what I understand, Wear OS is a smartwatch OS. The Charge 5 is a tracker.

@LZeeW I agree with you that the trackers, at this moment, shouldn't be involved in the migration. However my reply was directed to @JuanFitbit who said "At this time there are no plans to implement Wear OS on any of our devices.
