Weight Tracker Dashboard Range

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This is general feedback to @Fitbit regarding the max and min range of the  weight tracker interface.

For example on mine, tracking my WEEKLY weight, the max and min weights on the y axis are 140 pound apart!!!!

Whose weight fluctuates that much in a week!?

The max and min weights on the y axis are so far apart you simply cannot see any movement on actual weight changes, which, let’s be honest, are going to be minuscule over the shorter periods.

Ive proudly lost 15pounds since the start of the year, but this just appears as a flat line on the dashboard because the ranges are so large. As much as I would like to be able to lose 70 pounds in a week, I know that’s not going to be possible.

how about the max and min weight on the y axis be the max and min weight recorded in that period for example, that way, we can see at a glance the impact of our efforts.

come on boffins! it's the simple thingS that count!

Hi @steveoo7. Welcome! It's great to see a new face around the forums.

Thanks for taking the time to bring this situation to my attention. I understand how motivating it's to see your data accurately recorded in the Fitbit app to track your progress and let me congratulate you for your achievements! About your inquiry so this can be further investigated, please take a screenshot of the weekly weight graph displayed in the Fitbit app and attach it in your reply with the steps posted here. Additionally, let me know your phone's model and iOS version.

I'll look forward to your response.

Hi there @LizzyFitbit , thanks for your response.

I've attached two screen shots below. One is of the heart rate dashboard, which is brilliant! Not only does it show detailed movements in my heart rate, but the y-axis dynamically adjusts depending on what data is showing.

I wish the weight tracker was more like this, which instead has a fixed y-axis and the range is so enormous you can hardly see weight movements at all, especially significant weight movements such as what I have achieved.

Ideally I'd like to track all of my main fitness metrics in a single app, but sadly the Fitbit weight tracker is distinctly lacking in this department...

I have also attached a screen shot of how the same weight data is represented in myFitnessPal, which you will see is much easier to read.

Why does this view have so much empty space? Why does this view have so much empty space?Screenshot 2020-02-19 at 07.43.54.jpg

It's really a design feature of this screen it appears, but because there is so much space on the y-axis, the data presented becomes very hard to read!

Hi @steveoo7. Thanks for getting back and I'm sorry for my delay.

I appreciate the screenshots provided, as well for sharing more details about this matter. I know how you feel about not being able to see your progress on the graph. While there isn't an option to manually adjust the weight graph on the Fitbit app, please know that our team constantly works on the Fitbit app and how it works based on our members feedback. I'm sorry for this inconvenience and to make your voice heard, please visit our Feature Suggestions board where you can post new ideas that you'd like to see implemented in the future.
