they should be showing for the past 30 days, or past 365 days. Instead they show the CURRENT month and CURRENT year. Pretty useless at the start of a month or year.

Hello @mdavidw86
Thanks for reporting this, I checked and I have the exact same behavior on iOS. Looks like either a bug or at least some room for improvement.

@mdavidw86 I see the same thing on iOS and it is different from the one month and one year graphs on the web dashboard.
@SebWotan You mentioned in a different thread that you have both the Android and iOS apps. Are the two apps the same or different?

@LZeeW Yes it is very different. In Android the graph shows the last 365 days starting from the current month. So the 1yr graph is from Jan 2021 to Jan 2022. Same for the month graph, it is from 6 Dec to 6 Jan.

Hi there, @mdavidw86. @SebWotan and @LZeeW Thanks for your insights and help.
Thanks for the details and screenshots provided. I understand how helpful it'd be to see your progress until today on those graphs and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. While it's not possible to change the way your weight data is displayed, my best advice is to share this as a request in the Feature Suggestions board. That way, our developers can take it into consideration for new updates and improvements.
Your feedback is truly appreciated and please know we'll keep working on the Fitbit app to make it more useful for you.

This is a poor answer. This is an obvious improvement requests and anybody can see why. Asking the user to go create another thread in a feature suggestion board is not taking ownership of your product. You should go and create an improvement request/bug fix on your Product Backlog. There is something broken in your development method here.
