Weight loss progress not showing in app.

My weight the progress won't show. (--lbs lost since) It really motivates me to see that number that I've "lost". I have a Fitbit Alta and I connect it with the Fitbit Aria scale

-I tried connecting through the Aria and also tried manual logging.

-I turned my phone off and then back on.

-I have logged off then back on.

-I have deleted the app, and then reinstalled.

-Of course, it's updated.

Anyone have this problem, or know how to fix it? Anything would be appreciated 😃

Hello @al_e_d, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have shared your experience with us and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far. At this moment I would like to ask you to go to the Weight section in the online Dashboard and check if your weight graph is reflecting the logs you have entered lately. If you're able to see your progress here, please reply to me with a screenshot of the Weight Tile in the app in the Dashboard and once you tap on it so I can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting to hear from you.

@al_e_d — was the starting weight on August 9 183.6 lbs, or does the half circle graph on the dashboard change the starting weight to the current day weight every time you weigh in?

starting weight was 183.6.  But I have been fluctuating and as you can see the dashboard won't show the progress point by point. It used to do this!

FitBit help has not helped so thats why I am asking the public.

I’m not sure I understand.  I think it is supposed to show progress by subtracting your current weight from the weight you were when you started.  This updates every day after you do a new weigh in.  When you go back under 183.6 it should do the calculation and then change the “ —“ to a number.

As as an aside, you can link your Fitbit account to a website called TrendWeight (check the link in my signature) for free and you will get a trend line that gives you a daily moving average of your weigh ins.  I find that approach to be a better measure of true progress because it minimizes the daily changes that are mostly due to water retention and the fact that it takes about four days for the food you eat to fully pass through your body.

Hello @al_e_d, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply and provide a screenshot, I really appreciate it. It's nice to see you too @Baltoscott, thanks for all your help. Smiley Happy

@al_e_d, please note that the Weight tile will only show the current weight loss based on your weight logs. That means that if your starting weight is 183.6, if you add a weight log that's less than 183.6, the tile will show the green half circle filling up showing the amount of weight lost. Now, if your next log is 183.6 or more, the green circle will disappear and you'll see: (--)lbs. This green circle will only show your weight loss, it will not reflect your gained weight, you can see this graph when you tap on the Weight Tile, as it's showing in your screenshot.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

It happens either way unfortunately, I did lose a little before I gained (as you can see in the screenshot), and the numbers still didn’t show.

I appreciate you have shared your experience with me. At this moment, as a test I would like to ask you to enter a weight log in the Fitbit app, 1 or 2 pounds less than your starting weight (183.6) and let me know if the green circle starts to fill, as a bit of progress should appear. If not, reply to me with a screenshot of the weight log and one of the weight tile so I can determine what we should do next. Remember that the tile will only show the data on your last weight goal, meaning that the progress will disappear if a log of the same weight as your starting weight or more will erase the progress in the tile.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.
