When using the app, no options work

I have a Charge 3 paired to an I-Phone 8.
When I am using the app nothing will work. 
It is recording my steps, showing my heart rate, calories burnt, active minutes and Floors but if I want to track exercise, nothing. If I want to log weight, nothing. If I want to check sleep, nothing. If I want to log water, nothing. I am sure you are getting the picture.

I have restarted the app, restarted the phone all to no avail.

I am open to suggestions.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the steps tried to get the Fitbit app working again. I just want to confirm if you get an error message or if the Fitbit app crashes when tapping on any stat. Since your iPhone 8 appears in our supported devices list, I'd recommend to try the following steps in the given order:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Switch from WiFi to mobile data, or the other way around. Make sure you have a strong connection.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
