Ionic won't sync consistently

had the Ionic for 2 weeks. All was fine.  Would sync with either my iPHone11 or iPadPro.  Notcied a few days ago that when refreshing on my phone, it would give the message: No device found.  I turned off the watch. Restarted it. Deleted the app and reinstalled.  And it did sync (that was yesterday).  Today, i'm back to no device found.  I think iphone had a recent firmward update. could that be the problem?  My husband has a Versa2 and and IPhone X and he has no problems.

Hi @pugliese01. Welcome! It's great to have you on board.

Thanks for the information provided and for your efforts while troubleshooting your watch. I'm sorry that you're going through this situation and let me help you with this matter. There are some factors that may prevent your watch from syncing, so please make sure of the following:

  • Your Ionic and phone are within 20 feet.
  • Your iPhone isn't managing other Bluetooth connections. If you have multiple Bluetooth products like speakers or headsets paired to your phone along with your Fitbit device, you may have trouble using more than one at the same time. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  • You've taken your iPad Pro to another room while trying the syncing process with your iPhone.
  • Your iPhone or iPad is using a strong WiFi connection or mobile data.

If those conditions don't apply to you, please try the following:

  1. Remove your Ionic from the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and iPad.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth settings on your iPad and take it to another room.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap on your profile picture > Ionic.
  5. Tap on Sync Now and wait until it has synced.
  6. Once that is done, tap on Notification and accept the prompt to pair via Bluetooth.

If your Ionic is able to sync, you can then turn Off the Bluetooth in your iPhone and turn it back On in your iPad to sync with it.

Keep me posted.
