Where do I find the “sync now” link? Does not seem to be where the manual says it should be. I have to turn off my IPad then back on for the device to sync.

@Maschnielsen Tap on your profile picture, then your Charge 4 tile. There is a sync now option near the bottom of the page. The iOS app was optimized for the iPhone, so I don't know if this works -- with your iPad in portrait view, gently press and pull down.
I am moving this thread to the iOS forum. Your Charge 4 should sync all day with your iPad, unless you quit the app after syncing. Do you also have the app on an iPhone? There is a "blue banner" thread at the top of the page of the iOS forum with syncing tips. You should not have to restart your iPad in order to sync, especially if that is the only device with the Fitbit app on it.

Hi @Maschnielsen - are you using the Fitbit app on your iPad? Since the app is a mobile version and does not fill up my screen, I find it easier to use Safari on my iPad and navigate to Fitbit.com. From there, to sync, I tap the Refresh bottom. (See below.) Please let us know if this works for you. If it does NOT, tell us in detail how you are trying to sync.

I just verified that my iPad app works just like my iPhone app does - - - Swipe down on the today screen until you see the "release to refresh" at the top of the screen.
While both @LZeeW and @SunsetRunner 's answers are correct and Laurie included my suggestion, the swipe method is a bit simpler, as well as quicker.
