Why is my Fitbit charge 5 now draining my iPhone 16 battery daily

Since iPhone's update to their software 26.0.1 my Fitbit seems to draining the battery as it is on in the background even thought l have turned off background refresh. l can't find anywhere to update the Fitbit software either in the app or on the charge 5. I am signed with my google account as l was requested to do a while ago.Can someone help please.
