Why isn't there an iOS app Widget?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The other app platforms  have an widgets(android and windows)  why is the iphone the odd one out?  shouldnt they all have widgets.

A widget can be used for a lot more than just showing the stats!

It could actually help fitbit with the notification issue they been having!

I've seen the requests for the widget in the feature request section, but all of them seem to have been denied.

Hello @thenameless1

As you mentioned it is already posted in the Fitbit Suggestion Forum here:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/IOS-Widget/idi-p/2696940 I would suggest to post your voice and concerns there.

@SunsetRunner I'm just curious why there isn't one and slightly curious if Fitbit explored the idea to possibly resolve the notification issue. I'm not sure if it would work though.

Considering the notification issue in iOS 13 I would think that adding a fitbit widget could possibly address some of the community concerns regarding having "previews" turned on.

I'm definitely overgeneralizing the the widget description of a widget here, but it's like an app within an app. On the iphone it runs on the lock screen.

In this scenario the widget would be generating the notifications to the tracker instead of the app. Since the widget is running on the lock screen maybe the "previews" don't have to be enabled.
