Will my data be erased if I set up a new tracker?

When I set up my new charge3 will all my data from the Alta be erased.

No, if you go into the account section of the app (the icon looks like an ID card) and select "set up a device", it will step you through the process of adding the Charge 3 to your account. You can then choose to leave the Alta connected so you can swap between them, or you can select the Alta and you'll see an option to remove it from your account.

 

Doing this will keep all your data, settings, badges etc.

@Praff55, I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for posting your question. As @SteveH mentioned, when you set up a new device on your account you will not lose any information, the reason for this is that the information synced from your devices gets stored in our servers and not on your phone.

Thank you so much for your help. We work hard for all those miles so it’s nice not to lose them.
