I got a new iPhone 11 and it doesn’t seem to be linked to my Fitbit charge 3 anymore.
We factory reset my old iPhone 7 which was in the new OS. How can I get it to sync with my new phone to see incoming calls and text messages? Please help 😊

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @Chantal24

I’m a bit confused about the wording of your post so please forgive me if I misunderstand. I understand you got a new iPhone 11 and your having difficulty with pairing to your Fitbit Charge 3. (My confusion is with your mention of the iPhone 7 and factory reset of that phone) My question would be are you trying to pair with the iPhone 7 or the iPhone 11?
Please keep in mind that having your Charge 3 paired with two devices can cause conflicts so I would choose which iPhone you desire to pair with and make sure you are NOT paired with the other one.

Here are some steps you can take to try to get you up and running again:

First let’s try restarting your Fitbit Tracker. Here’s how: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

If your still experiencing issues try turning your Bluetooth off, restart your iPhone then turn your Bluetooth back on again once your iPhone restarts. Again, try to sync

If restarting and toggling the Bluetooth doesn’t help I would suggest force shut the App and restart. Here’s how:

Again, Turn off your Bluetooth

log out of the Fitbit App

completely shut down your device, wait 1-2 mins then restart your device

once your device fully loads enable your Bluetooth again

now log back into your Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password

now sync your device

If your syncing is still failing let’s try reinstalling the Fitbit App. You will not lose your data doing this.

Here’s how:

1. Log out of the Fitbit app and force shut the app by swiping up

2. uninstall the Fitbit App from your device

3. now completely shut down your device and wait about 1 min then restart your device

4. once your device has reloaded reinstall the Fitbit app by downloading it from the App Store

5. once it’s installed, log into your device as you normally would with username and password

6. don’t touch anything in the app...just wait until you get a prompt from your Bluetooth.

7. When prompted by your Bluetooth tap yes

8. now try to sync

If your still experiencing an issue try this last step: please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Fitbit Tracker and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device" or "Unpair". Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app,, tap your profile picture then scroll down and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device. Just follow the instructions as they come.

If the issue is not solved after the above steps, please take a look at the help articles: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? or  Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Now as far as your notifications issues. I do understand it’s frustrating and disappointing that your experiencing problems. Currently notifications are an issue that the Fitbit Team is aware of and are working on a fix. Please view this thread here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/m-p/39...Pay special attention to page one of that thread and perform all the steps carefully. If any new updates or information become available it will be posted there.

😃 I do hope my suggestions do indeed help you pair your Charge 3. Hopefully trying all the steps provided to you in the link will resolve your notifications issues as well. Keep me posted.

Hi MegaBite,

Thank you for your response.
I had the iPhone 7 but traded it in and bought the new iPhone 11.
😊

I sometimes don’t make sense when trying to explain... hehehe.

It seems to have worked. I can see the Fitbit again under my Bluetooth devices.

Thank you so much

Chantal

Hi there

Still experiencing no notifications like phone call or SMS on my Fitbit. Is that one of the issues on the latest OS?

I miss that. It’s nice to see your SMS or Calls while they happen on your wrist.

Hello again @Chantal24

Yes, notifications became an issue after the iOS update. I can only refer you to the link I already provided early.
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Stopped-seeing-notifications-after-updating-to-iOS-13/td-p/3...

I wish I had more answers to provide you but the only information I know about notifications are in that thread. I’m terribly sorry. My only suggestion is to keep trying each step and hopefully it will work. Otherwise keep watching that thread for more updates.

I went from an iPhone 6 to iPhone 11 and I have an Fitbit Alta. I am not receiving  texts and Phone calls on my fitbit. I have followed all these steps above and also disconnected from the iPhone 6 as I’m forgetting the device and deleted the fitbit alta from the fitbit app and reinstalling on fitbit 11. When I reinstalled it on the new phone my access code did come up on the alta and vibrate to set it up. It is still not working as far as receiving texts and phone calls. I wanted to see if there is any other solutions or if it’s just not compatible with the iPhone 11.
