I am in the process of transferring my old fitbit zip to my dad's iphone 6 or 6plus. It is trying to connect to the phone, but it appears to be stuck on that phase. Any tips on how to get it to connect? Before you adk, yes, i deleted the app and re-installed it.

I am baffled.

Is the Zip still setup to be syncing to his account, or have you set it up to sync to your new account?

Have you tried replacing the battery with a fresh one?

Have you tried resetting the Zip? https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

@BethK84. Is your phone nearby when you try to set your dad's up?  Maybe it is still connected to your phone .  If so, perhaps go under Bluetooth settings and tell it to forget this device or turn off Bluetooth altogether.

Hi there @BethK84, Good to see you around in our Community. I wonder if you were able to resolved the issue to set up the Zip on your dad's iPhone following the great suggestions from @Collin1000 and @Kmransom123

Let us know how it goes, just as an additional note I don't recommend to uninstall the app and reinstalled, as this is as a last resource troubleshoot, due to it may caused other issues in the functionality of the app. Is not often but I felt is pertinent to mention it.

If you still have questions, you may take a look at this video for additional help.

See you around and let us know if you need more help.
