This is a new issue that's been happening for the last few days. My app won't sync when I'm connected to wifi, only thru the cellular network. I've shutdown and restarted my phone, deleted the app and then reinstalled, and I've also reset my Fitbit. Nothing has helped.

@Dwendt An internet connection (either mobile data or WiFi connection) is required for syncing Fitbit trackers.
You can find more information about how Fitbit trackers sync their data by clicking here.
Hope this helps.

Yes, I realize that. My problem, as with the previous poster is that it will NOT sync when CONNECTED to wifi. It's only when I leave the range of wifi that it will sync. Not a huge deal. It's just strange.

@Dwendt that's pretty weird indeed. In this case I recommend resetting your network settings. Sounds to me like it's not something with your tracker but rather with your wifi network. Resetting network settings will only help your iOS device to refresh your network settings. After doing that your iOS device will request for the wifi password of the network you're trying to connect. Try restarting your phone as well by pushing the On/Off button and the home button at the same time until your phone turns off.
Finally try restarting your tracker by following the instructions here. Attempt a sync again and post back with the outcome!

@DJCOPEZ thanks for joining us! Well, in this case I recommend making sure that you're connected to a strong WiFi network. To make sure it's a functioning WiFi network, try sending some WhatsApp messages, check Instagram or use any other app. If it doesn't respond then you know it's the WiFi signal.
I also suggest checking that your running your Fitbit app's latest version. This is to avoid any syncing issues or glitches overall.
Hope this makes sense. Keep me posted!

Same thing here.
I've trying to sync my Alta HR with my iPhone 7, but it won't work while I'm connected to WiFi.
I'm sure it is a strong connection for a few reasons: I'm using it right know to write this comment, to send WhatsApp messages, to see my Instagram and Facebook feed and also watching Netflix.
Also it was working normally until 2 days ago. Yesterday it stopped working while connected to wifi.
I have already tried all the troubleshooting steps, but can't solve this problem.

Same here. Only can sync via mobile network. it was working fine couple days ago before the new ios update. (IOS 11.2.2) and I am sure that I have a strong wifi connection. Via wifi connection, it only sync steps, floors, km, and cals. I have tried restarting the device, reinstalling the apps. Still the same problem. I unlinked the Charge 2 and when i tried to link it again, it gave me error 403 everytime I put the number in, until I disconnected the wifi connection and connected through mobile Network instead.

Has there been a solution to this problem? My charge 2 has recently stopped syncing over wifi.
I've followed all the suggestions from this thread and it still doesn't work. Wondering if anyone has had any success

Got the same issue.. my Charge 2 sync alright until two days ago. Any solution to this issue yet?
I can not sync my Charge 2 when my iPhone 6s is connected to wifi. I have to turn off wifi and use cellular to sync. Tried several things: app - updated, fitbit - rebooted, router - rebooted. Still not working. Any help would be nice.. Thanks

FYI, an update to my case, my Fitbit Charge 2 starts working again after 3-4 days being unsyncable. By far it has been 2 weeks with no problem syncing. I didn't do anything and I am still confused about what happened. Anyways, it's working now. (Fitbit version: 2.47 Charge 2 Firmware Version: 22.55.2)

Hello @CNBY2014 and @Acleric, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you both on board.
@CNBY2014, I appreciate you came back and let me know your issue has now been resolved, I'm very glad!
@Acleric, judging by the version of the app you're mentioning, it seems you're using an Android device, if this is the case, please update the app to the latest Android version (2.68) and if you're still experiencing issues when syncing, my best recommendation would be making a new post on the Android Forums, where you will be able to get a more focused response based on the platform you're currently using.
I hope this can be helpful, thanks for your patience and understanding. Happy stepping!
