cannot delete friend from dashboard on PC

error message.jpg  I go to the person & try to delete but I get this message.  I have deleted other inactive friends at the same time without any issues.  The 3 dots only give me an option to report the user not to block, or remove.  I would like to stay active with my friends but need this person removed.  I do not know them and frankly unsure how they were in my friends list.  Please help if possible.

Hello @Kisskrazed (AKA Gene Simmons 😉

This is quite strange. Do you get the same results trying to delete the same individual going through the Fitbit App?

Yes, the 3 dots only allow to report. I cannot delete from the app.

Maybe logging out of your Fitbit App @Kisskrazed then force shutting it by swiping up then logging back into the Fitbit app and try to delete this particular individual again. (Yikes can you imagine never being able to give peeps the boot when ya choose to)

😃 please let me know if this solves the issue if you try the force shutting.

Hello again @Kisskrazed

How very strange you can’t delete them. 🤣 it’s like a pesky parasite. All seriousness I would contact Fitbit Customer Service. They may be able to help. You can find ways to contact them here: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs&co=GB

I hope they can help you

Did you find a solution as I contacted customer service and they just send me back to this thread. Very circular and unhelpful.

Uninstalled app on Android and reinstalled.  Issue corrected..  Apparently something was corrupt within the app.

I have the same issue....I'm in the US, cannot delete a few inactive friends in other countries.  I don't have the option to delete these friends within the app, on the website I receive an error message "Something went wrong"

Thank you for your reply, @SOULEMAN.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. I recommend confirming if your Fitbit app is updated to the latest version: How do I update the Fitbit app? After that please let me know what options do you see when you tap the friend you want to delete and then tap on 3 dots in the upper right corner? I will be glad to investigate further.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
