Hi, I am new to fitbit. My wife and I purchased our fitbits a couple of weeks ago. Not long after setting my flex up, it said there was an update available. Whenever I try to update from the app on my Iphone, I get the following message "Request failed: internal server error (500)." I have reset my flex a few times, but I still get the same message. Any ideas? Thanks for a great product.

Hi @acarl1011,
I can definitely help you out with the 500 error that you are experiencing. Besides restarting your tracker, I'd also recommend rebooting your iOS device and then logging out/in of the Fitbit App.
Next, I'd recommend opening your iOS settings > turn off Bluetooth for 10 seconds > and then turn Bluetooth back on and finally try to update your Flex's firmware again.
Keep me posted if you need any additional help!

Hi, I have the same issue. I bought the fitbit just yesterday and have been trying to set it up. I keep getting the 500 internal server error when I try to update the hardware on my ios device. Trying to update it on my computer results in "an unexpected error" as well. I've tried all the solutions listed above (restarting the tracker, restarting my ios device, logging out and back in of the app, turning off bluetooth) and would appreciate some help. Thanks

@swwcheong Are you still having trouble with setting up your tracker?
If so, I'd recommend: restarting your tracker, rebooting your iOS device, and then use the replacement setup process to pair your tracker to your account. Click here for replacement setup instructions.
You can also use the replacement setup on a computer to pair your tracker to your Fitbit account and still sync using your iOS device afterwards.
Hope this helps and welcome to the Community!

@swwcheong A new iOS App version was released this morning and should help you out with your firmware update. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store.
If for some reason the firmware update still fails after you update the iOS Fitbit App, I'd recommend the troubleshoots steps for a failed firmware update mentioned here.
Keep me posted!

Hi @jessicalisi,
Are you still having trouble setting up your tracker? If so, I'd recommend:
2. Try the Replacement setup process to pair your tracker to your existing account.
3. If for some reason it was unsuccessful, reboot your iOS device and try the setup process in step two again.
4. As a last resort, you can also setup your tracker using a computer.
Keep me posted if you need any additional assistance!
