Hi @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, welcome back!
Thanks for your question. At this moment it's not currently planned a dark theme in the Fitbit app for iOS nor Android users, however, the input that we receive here in the Community Forums and this specific feature suggestion: Dark Theme in Fitbit App is really appreciated because it makes us evaluate that we are delivering what our users want and need. That said, please participate with your comments and a vote in the idea previously mentioned and let me know if you have any additional questions.
I'll be around.

Unfortunately though, the other feature request thread from 2017 got marked as not currently planned and closed so that no one can comment. That's a little disheartening. Fitbit on iOS is by far the worst app to open on my iPhone at night. I guess the only nice thing I can say is that it does work well as a flashlight when I'm walking my dog. 🙂
Please, please reconsider adding a dark mode for the Fitbit app in 2020!

@ampedtwiz Although the thread is closed for comments, you can still vote for it. Fitbit has changed its mind about something not currently planned.

I agree. The app is the only bright app of all those I commonly use in the evenings, but it’s so disturbing that I may not even use it much now because it the brightness.
I’ve made other requests when talking to customer support in the past year or so, and it’s discouraging how responsive or sincere they may not be about improving it according to some more common requests like this thread here. I hope to stay with Fitbit but we’ll see how the year goes. Thanks much for posting. Cheers. 🥖 :sun:

Hello FitBit Dev Team,
Please create a dark/night mode for the app.
A simple color inversion could probably bring about the desired effect. And then a switch to toggle dark mode in settings. Surely the company has the resources to pull that off?
Give it a shot! 😉🙃❤️🏃🏼

What I do is enable inverse colors from accessibility when using Fitbit app. Almost a perfect dark mode and way better than default as it comes from Fitbit. Why they don’t offer a dark mode in 2020 is beyond me.

Please, for people who use Fitbit due to sleep problems, getting blasted with glaring white screen any time we just want to check our sleep stage record is counterproductive. How hard can it be to program, for God’s sake? I was programming background and font colors when I was 8.

P.S. make a dark mode version of this forum, while you’re at it! 😉
