Does Fitbit forget that they still have the App in the China App store?

 

I purchased a Luxe as a gift for my mother living in China. When I try to connect the new device to her iPhone, it says the Fitbit App needs to be updated to connect to this device (this issue did not happen with a new Charge 5). And the iOS App update has not been released in the China App store for.... 2 YEARS.

 

Now I have to return the gift.
