iOS Badge notifications not showing up

I’m curious if anyone receives notifications on their iPhone home screen when they hit a new milestone and receive a new badge. I’ve updated my iPhone settings and my Fitbit notification settings to make sure everything is turned on so I can get the notification, but so far it’s never come through. It’s a bummer because I enjoy seeing when I hit a new lifetime miles goal and the like. Any other solutions?

I get a text and an email for badges, but no badge notification on the new notification button on the bottom right of my iPhone screen yet. 

 

Bottom right used to be up account button, but now it is changed to my notifications button.
