iOS app crashing with food entry

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
Over the past week, the app has been crashing whenever I input food. I will enter food into the app, it crashes, and when I relaunch the app, the food has disappeared, only to reappear at a later time.

Hey hey hey @Ltmommy it's great to have you here! Welcome my friend! Cat WinkI'd like to know if you have updated the iOS Fitbit App to the latest version? If you already did, please try to log out and log back in the app and try adding food again.

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes! Robot wink

The new 2.21 version is great but still a few bugs. Items are added to the calorie count but won't always show up in the list of food. App has to be restarted to see food items. Also crashing when searching or adding food.

I am having the same problem with it counting the calories but doesn't show up in the list of food. In fact when I entered the last food item, I saw it in the list of food for a split second and then it disappeared. And yes, you have to go out of the app and then back in, for it to show up. Very annoying! All this since the latest update. Also, can you delete the new tracking of movement line?

@Ltmommy Just as @Systemofdef mentioned, we released a new version of the iOS App this morning, version 2.21.1. This should resolve the food log App crash that you are both experiencing. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store.

@Sheila0313 @Systemofdef Added food not showing up in the iOS food log is a completely different but known issue that our team is currently working to resolve. Since this is an App-related issue, you should still be able to see all of your food data on your Fitbit.com food log while this issue is being worked out.

You are correct, 2.21.1 does not address the food logging issue. Entered food still does not show up in iOS. Requires restarting the app to see entries. How much longer to we have to wait for a fix to this issue? This has been an issue widely reported for some time now.

I've got the same problems too on an android phone and a windows laptop. As a temporary workaround I've been adding "quick calories" instead (doesn't seem to crash the app). The calories still don't show up on the dashboard or for log bag chart, but if you look right above the list of today's added quick calories you'll get the accurate sum. Hope the fitbit team can fix it soon, send to me it's a problem either with the database relations or the data retrieval, but if all worked fine before the last update do it shouldn't be too difficult to isolate the issue if they have a decent change log.

Since April 4th there's been two updates to the app yet no fix. you add food and it doesn't show until you restart the app. Losing track of food if I'm in a rush and can't check, what is going on ????
