iOS sinc for text messages

My device sinc 's with incoming cellular calls giving me a notification of a call with a name banner on the fit bit screen. This is helpful. My question is, can I set it up to do the same thing for text messages?

It depends on which fitbit model you have. Text notifications from supported phones work on the Alta, Blaze and Surge. This article explains how:
