Hi Everyone-
Update 5/27/2020: This issue has been resolved. If you still see a “no longer shared” message please make sure your app and OS are updated to the latest versions.
I've merged a few posts together.
We're aware of an issue where some customers who update their iPhone to iOS 13.5 see this error message when they open apps, including the Fitbit app: “This app is no longer shared with you, to use it, you must buy it from the App store." To resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. If this doesn’t resolve the issue for you, we hope to have more information soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. Thanks for your patience!

Same. Now 502 error after entering the number on the trackers display. This will be the third different error message in the last hour. I know I have to walk away and try tomorrow

Hi Everyone! I don't think this is a Fitbit issue, I think this is an iOS 13.5 issue that Apple will need to fix. Several online blog posts have reported the issue across other apps including Youtube, Tiktok, Fitbit, etc. You might want to contact Apple Support if you're still having problems after uninstalling and reinstalling, because Fitbit probably can't fix this.

The issues started AFTER updating Fitbit latest update. I updated iOS just an hour ago. Soft-reset my device. Removed the app. Nothing worked.

Wasn’t syncing so I reset the device. I also removed the device from my phone. Saw this post so I uninstalled the app. Now I’m closer but it now errors when I attempt to pair. I either received a 503 or a 404 error while pairing the Charge 3 device. I did lose my data because I removed the device. Now what?

I just bought a new Fitbit Inspire HR and I’m unable to sync my new Fitbit to my updated iPhone. After I put in the 4-digit code, I get an error message that it won’t sync and to abort the sync. Please advise

I believe data stays in the Fitbit Cloud. I'm getting 502, 503 and 504 errors. There's something up on the Fitbit servers.

I just received a Fitbit Inspire. I just in stalled the app on my android phone. I tried to sync my Inspire to the phone and it does not sync. I try to do it via the internet and it says that Fitbit.com is down for maintenance. I would really like to get this set up for my daughter. Not sure what is going on.

I also was getting this message that the app was no longer being shared but I wasn’t allowed to”buy”it at the AppStore. I am on iOS 12.4.7, So I deleted the fitbit app and then downloaded it again. My phone is paired via bluetooth with no issues. I have a fitbit Alta. But now the app is no longer tracking my Hourly activity, active minutes, or my heart rate, and it did not retain my most recent sleep activity from last night. So now what? This is like only having half of my data. How is Fitbit going to fix this and when?

I did not receive that message, but I suddenly cannot sync the Inspire. I clicked "forget this device" to try and trouble shoot and now it recognizes the Inspire is nearby but will not accept the four digit code. I'm so frustrated! I've had this a week and additionally there is NO OTHER WAY to sync the watch because it is not compatible with my iPad or my Macbook. This is bull**ahem**.

My charge 3 won’t sync. Just sez failure to sync. I have done everything, uninstalled app, turned off phone, same with Bluetooth. Still recording steps but not sleep. Tried ringing. Call cuts off. This is second charge 3 after first one died after 6 months. Really not happy

Is this for new devices also? I just bought a Charge 4 and it says there are server issues and they are working on it.

Is this issue the same one that is making my fitbit “sync and refresh” until the blue bar is halfway across the screen and then go red with a “failed to sync device” message?

iOS 13.4.1. Did have difficulty with app earlier today. Removed and re-installed. That fixed _some_ issues. However, now I consistently get "failed to sync device" after I cold-start the app. If I try the refresh again without restarting the app, it just spins the spinner forever saying that it is syncing. If I kill the app and re cold-start, same thing. This is with a Charge 4 that happens to have two or three activities it is attempting to sync.
If have disconnected and reconnected the bluetooth as well. Even uninstalled and re-installed the app (yet again for today). Same behavior. Simply won't sync with my Charge 4.
Somewhat of the opinion that this is an app I no longer allow to auto-update.
