Good afternoon,
I excitedly received a Fitbit Versa 3 this morning having tired of the poor battery life on my Apple watch. I am becoming frustrated that I am unable to set the watch up to receive whats app notifications.
I have finally managed to start receiving text messages but whats app remains a mystery. I am on the latest ios 13.5 with an iPhone 11, I have followed the recommended help pages and yet still nothing.
Additionally text messages seem to only work if I set my phone to show a preview of each message which I don't want as prefer to keep my messages to notification name only. I don't really want my teenage kids reading my messages if they appear on my lock screen!
One other point I have noticed is the number of steps that have been counted for a quick drive to the shops and drying my hair ... is there a setting to adjust this so that movement of my non dominant hand does not equate to steps!! I am unsure if I will be keeping the watch at present which is a shame as it looks fab! Thanks in advance for any support that will be persuade me to convert to Fitbit from Apple 🙂

Do you mean the Versa 2 @carol1971
As for notifications, yes preview is needed for the ios to send the notification for Fitbit to intercept.
Basically unless the notification shows up on the phone's lock screen, fitbit will not be able to forward it onto the watch.
As for the step count, you could set the device to dominate arm, sometimes a restart or shutdown helps. However, bumpy rides may add a few steps. This also goes for drying hair.
