Mine isn't working I've tried everything I was told to be patient that doesn't help. I have the flex any suggestions? Or how long until it will be compatible? Is it time to leave Fitbit?

It's working, so I'm not complaining too much. Interestingly enough my weekly hike is all of a sudden 1 mile longer, and not from walking any farther. Not sure why the iPhone 7 or my Blaze is adding distance to the measurement.

I can only suggest restarting your phone. If that doesn't work, restart your Fitbit. It took a while, but it finally asked to be paired and now it's working great.

Send an email or call customer service. I'm not leaving Fitbit; I've got too much data invested!

Blaze doesn't have gps, so it's your phone. But that's weird. A mile is a lot! I would hope the 7 has more accurate gps, but they're all probably the same.

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community @SunsetRunner @Shanfodor @Dougnc @Wontastic. I'm happy to announce the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus have been added to the list of Fitbit supported devices. If you are having difficulties to set up your Fitbit tracker with any of the above devices, please follow these instructions to resolve set up issues.

Please be aware these devices currently don't support MobileTrack. This situation is being handled by the engineering team and once any update is available it will be communicated by @DerrickS in this thread.

@Dougnc When mobile devices are not supported by Fitbit they might sync your data but there is a chance they don't work as intended. I would like to know if you are still getting inaccurate distance.

Hope to see you around more often. Smiley Very Happy

Regarding accuracy, I just bought a Fitbit Charge 2 less than a week ago and it's really not accurate about distance.  It give's me 3.8 kilometers for a distance that I know is 3.1.  Is there a plan to fix that?  If not, I will most likely return my fitbit.  Beside accuracy, that is a major problem to me, I do like my fitbit.

as Charge 2 has no GPS, it can be your smartphone, or you must adjust your stride lenght in your profile.

this Fitbit device counts steps, not distance

and read the user guide and FAQ, please, it can help you.

Before I had the fitbit and install the app on my phone, my phone was able to track my distance accurately with the NikeRunClub app.  Since I've installed the Fitbit app, even the NikeRunClub app is not accurate.  Therefore the root cause is apparently the fitbit or the fitbit app.  I would be conforted to know that you are aware of the issue and working on a fix.  But I will adjust my stride lenght to see if it fixes the issue.

@SunsetRunner Thanks for joining us. @Denissss If you are obtaining inaccurate distance readings from your Fitbit Charge 2, then please set your stride length by following @Michael's instructions and perform a restart to your Fitbit tracker by doing the following:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Whether you are getting troubles when using the Mobile app, please make sure you have the latest Fitbit app version. Additionally, it could be a good idea logging out from the app, rebooting the phone and logging back in.

Let me know how it goes. Catch you later. Cat Happy

When you said it took awhile, did your phone show that it was searching for it for awhile? About how long did it take?

I JUST got my fitbit flex to sync to my iphone 7. I thought all hope was lost. I can tell you that it did take about 20 minutes for my phone to find the tracker and then sync to it. I guess I just had to be a little patient. Does your phone say it is at least searching for it?

I just bought my Fitbit Alta hr and I cannot even get this thing to turn on. I have tried everything. It won't sync on the computer nor my phone. I have a iPhone 7plus. Any suggestions?

Hello @Wickedbeauty910, thanks for joining us, it's great to have you on board! Smiley Happy

If your tracker is not turning on, please plug it in to another USB port and try to restart it a couple of times. After restarting it, check if the lights on the back turn on and if not, please let me know so I can check this further.

In order to restart your Alta HR:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your Alta HR will begin charging.

  3. Press the button on your charging cable three times within four seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  4. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do, please keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Yes, it seems that it's off by about 20 to 25%.  It's adding roughly 1 mile to a 4 mile route.  I was hoping that maybe one of the software updates would fix the problem, but it doesn't seem like that is happening. This wasn't a problem with the iPhone 6, so it seems to be specifically an issue with the connectted GPS between the blaze and iPhone 7.  I'm somewhat skeptical that it is solely the problem of the iPhone 7 GPS. A small difference maybe, but 20% is crazy.
