I just switched to an iPhone SE from the 5s and now my phone cannot find my Fitbit charge. Is this phone not supported yet?

Is great to see you on the Community @kwillisSmiley LOL As you said, at the moment the iPhone SE is not supported yet. Let me share with you the list of Compatible Devices and you can check the link at a later date to see if device support has been added. However, you can set up and sync your Fitbit tracker with your computer by going to fitbit.com/setup and download the Fitbit Connect program to join us. Smiley Very Happy

@TarinFitbit, do you know how long it will be before the SE is officially suported please? My wife was looking at upgrading to this phone, but will now wait until Fitbit supports this, as she prefers to sync through the phone rather than a PC (she rarely uses a PC).

I've actually been able to sync with the iPhone SE directly. I had to go into the settings on my phone and turn on location services for Fitbit. I then restarted my phone and I have been able to sync.

Thank you @kwillis, that is good to know. Although the SE is not officially supported, it did seem strange that it wasn't working on this phone, as it's very similar to the 6S in hardware from what I understand. Does everything else seem to work as it did on your old phone, with the fitbit app?

Yes it seems to work just fine. It takes a little longer for the steps to appear in challenges but only a minute or two after syncing.

Thank you, glad it's all working. Now to wait until Tesco Mobile gets the SE back in stock  😉

@kwillis From researching the iPhone SE, it looks like the iPhone SE has the same exact Bluetooth hardware as the iPhone 6s (which is a supported device) just like @Lee_g3 posted.

My guess is that fitbit.com/devices hasn't been updated yet since the iPhone SE was just recently released.

Fitbit app does not appear under my location settings in iphone SE any other suggestions?

Best Answer
If you go to settings, then select Fitbit does it give you an option for location? Other than that I'm not sure.

Hey @kwillis and @dializ13 thanks for join us! Try the following:

On your Phone Settings, scroll down until you find the Fitbit app, tap it and you'll find location there, choose the one your prefer. Remember that this feature will allow you to map the exercise while using the Fitbit app.

Let me know how it goes! Smiley Wink

@desertwoman The iPhone SE is definitely a supported device. If you are having trouble syncing with your iPhone SE, I'd recommend:

1. Restarting your tracker.

2. Rebooting your iOS device.

3. Opening your iOS settings > turn off Bluetooth for 10 seconds > and then turn Bluetooth back on.

4. Open the Fitbit App to initiate a sync.

Hope this gets you back on track and welcome to the Fitbit Community!

That's what I did. My Blaze wasn't pairing with my new iPhone SE, so I "shut down" the Blaze, and when I turned it back on, my SE found it.

hi i have a similar problem

i have my SE and a charge 2. normal synchronization works just fine. and SE is now officially a supported device. BUT as soon as i want to start a run with my charge 2 it won't connect with my phone for GPS. even though i turnd on sharing location always. BUT the problem is, that the fitbit app is not listed in the bluetooth-sharing menue (settings-privacy-bluetoothsharing). it works with f.e. an iPhone7 but not with mine... i already talked to the german support and they don't know what to do. and i've done all the restarting re connecting stuff....

Hi, I just bought my daughter a brand-new fit bit to days ago and it connected perfectly to her SE  Try restarting your phone so the app resets. If you need any other help, just send me a question. Hope you get it working.
