Hi there @Colleenmh. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community  Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having a hard time getting your Charge HR is not pairing with your new iPhone Xs.

Upon checking the list of compatible devices, it seems that indeed, the latest Apple models are not there.

I'd say that it's very likely that these new models will be added to the list soon but I don't have any information on when this will happen. In the meantime, I can recommend using a different phone that is compatible to set up your tracker and after it connects, to see if you're able to get it to sync with your new iPhone Xs. If that doesn't work, I'd say it will not take much longer for these new devices to be added as I mentioned before.

If you have any other concern, feel free to let me know!

PS. I'm moving your post to the iOS app board for categorization purposes.

Yes, that would be nice if it can be upgraded soon.  I use my watch on a consistent basis.

Hello @Vongi09, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @SunsetRunner, I appreciate your input about this situation. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I understand you would like to see the new iPhone models added to the list of compatible devices. Please note that this list take a bit to be updated but my recommendation is to try to set up your device or sync it as they run the same iOS currently running on previous models, your tracker or watch should not have any trouble syncing or setting up. Now, if you have any issues trying to set it up or syncing it, please let me know, I'll be happy to to continue assisting you.

I hope this can be helpful, I hope you have a great day!

Hi try this. Mines wasnt working either and now it is working.

Go to Settings--> General-->Reset--->Reset Network Settings

Resetting the network settings also resets the Bluetooth settings.

I hope this works. it worked for me.

My iphone XR will sync with my Fitbit Alta HR, except for the heartrate, and also will not receive notifications.  Is this a common problem, or is there something I can do to get the notifications?  I've gone into settings and clicked all the proper buttons.

My Alta HR is also not connecting properly to my new iPhone Xs - it syncs to the app, but it no longer alerts me to incoming phone calls or text messages as was previously the case.  I just purchased my new phone so ti is the current iOS.  My Fitbit app is Fitbit 2.84 (807).  I rely on this notification, so any help fixing it is appreciated.

I had to pair the Alta HR bluetooth to the new phone, just like in the beginning of owning the Alta HR. It worked first try. Sends all notifications now.

@CarolS11, I appreciate you have come back and let us know that after setting up your Alta HR with the Bluetooth on your phone you're now able to receive Notifications. I'm very glad.

@Bhammer, thanks for your participation in the Forums and for the information you have provided about your issue. At this moment if you have your old phone with you I would like to suggest you to go to the Bluetooth settings on your old phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device. After that, go to the Fitbit app on your new phone and set up Notifications by going to Account > Alta HR > Notifications.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Thank you. I tried to “forget” the connection on my old phone and it didn’t help. I noticed that on my new phone, when I go to Bluetooth it never lists my Fitbit as “My Devices” but when the app is open it syncs (so clearly it finds it). Does this make sense? Perhaps this is related to the issue?

I'm sorry, I can't remember now how I did it, but it was easy once I found it.

Hello @Bhammer and @CarolS11, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

@Bhammer, please note that if the Fitbit device does not show up in the list of paired devices it's possible you haven't set up Notifications or All-day Sync. Setting up one of these features will  make a pop-up appear. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue, this will make the device easier to sync as well. You can disable these features once your device has "paired" with your phone, the connection will still remain.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

It’s really underwhelming that Fitbit isn’t compatible with Xs yet. I can’t possibly recommend this brand to friends, with weak compatibility with these latest handsets and the super poor screen cracking on hot days. It’s a poor product for the Australian market. And the best suggestion is to keep your old phone until Fitbit can be bothered doing their homework. Really? That’s the best you’ve got? I feel like binning my junk watch. Or keep a second phone just for my heat-damaged watch.

Welcome to the Community Forums @HikeJenHike @Kamilena5! 🙂

@Kamilena5, I'm happy to hear that the suggestions shared here worked for you!

@HikeJenHike, that's strange. Fitbit should be able to sync with Apple phones as long as you're using at least the iPhone 4S. What is happening when you try to sync your tracker? If you could provide as much details as possible, that will help a lot!
